| Welcome to Neu Records. We pride ourselves on our belief that creative control belongs solely to the artist, practicing non-intrusive production and considering everything - record sales, monetary income, popular music trends - secondary to the goal of introducing good music to the world.
Our operation is based on the theory that it is best to focus on the artist, rather than the income, and in turn the income will increase. Our goal is to make the journey from garage band to popular recording artist as smooth as possible, keeping the artist's and the music's integrity. In order to make this more possible, all points are covered by Neu. We are the recording studio, the producer, the sound engineer, and we hand-pick the session musicians. We are the distributor, the advertiser, the market analyst, and the booking agent. If it needs to be done, we do it.
Secondarily, we believe that artists should not be signed for their marketability, but rather for their talent and potential. We firmly believe there is a market for every artist; no matter how strange a song is, someone is bound to like it. Therefore, signing bands that all sound the same is, in fact, a negative move. We do not discriminate based on style. If you are passionate and talented about your music, whatever genre it happens to be, you have a chance to be signed by us.
